An Ellwood City airport was started in the
spring of 1928. The officers of the company were: Kenneth Fox,
president; Harry Campbell, vice president; William Kegal, secretary
and treasurer. The McKim farm, along the Connoquenesing Creek,
in Beaver County, was taken under option. They first had the grounds
graded and the runways made. The hangar cared for four airplanes.
There were as many as twelve to fifteen airplanes at one time
at the airport in 1929.
